Common window glass is called float glass because it’s made by pouring molten glass onto a bed of molten tin.   It’s a great alternative to the colored glass used by glass artists for fusing and slumping.   It’s cheap (often free) and available in a variety of thicknesses and tints.

This Digital Class will help you to deal with compatibility concerns, some of the special issues involved with cutting and kiln firing and the significantly different kiln firing schedules needed to work with float glass.  You will watch a number of step by step projects being built with varying kinds of float glass and bottle glass.
