Initially, Doll E was a primary kiln purchase for artists making dolls and later became a hot ticket item for labs, and universities testing glaze, tiles, etc. because of the oval design. Olympic kept both names for the model so that customers who purchased the model for either reason would recognize it if they needed future purchases or parts.
